Job Summary:

Moore Afghanistan is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our Audit and Assurance Department. The Audit Associate will support audit teams in planning and executing audit engagements across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audit, accounting, and financial reporting while working under the supervision of qualified professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA)
  • Perform substantive audit procedures on financial statement line items, account balances, and disclosures.
  • Evaluate internal controls and identify control deficiencies, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare audit working papers and document audit findings in compliance with firm methodology
  • Conduct analytical reviews of financial statements and support audit conclusions
  • Participate in fieldwork at client premises and maintain professional relationships with client personnel
  • Perform vouching, testing, and reconciliation of financial records
  • Assist in drafting audit reports and client communications
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in internal training and continuous professional development programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong academic record with an interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, CA, or other professional qualifications
  • Strong academic background with interest in pursuing ACCA, CPA, or CA qualifications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel within Afghanistan for audit assignments.
  • Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior internship or work experience in audit, accounting, or finance.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems is an added advantage.
